Strength
All of what you need as an offensive lineman can be developed in time and strength is at the top of the list. An offensive lineman should be able to see the results of training manifest itself in to high level performance. The challenge to creating this reality is to understand how to properly strength train in order to perform in the trenches, not a weightlifting competition.
Skill Development
Offensive line is a learned skill and the most difficult position to play in all of sports. Great players and coaches have a toolbox that supplies them with options to complete the task at hand. It is your job to secure as much information as possible about your craft. The best players and coaches never stop asking questions or learning.
Nutrition
There is no position on the football field whose performance is more greatly impacted by poor nutrition than offensive line. With so much misinformation readily available, it’s a difficult task to decipher from what’s fact or fiction. The information shared here is what O-Line Performance believes to be the most effective for offensive linemen.
Mobility
Being flexible is good, but to be mobile is great. Mobility is demonstrated by strength through full ranges of motion. In the trenches your body is going to be stressed at maximal ranges of motion while under pressure from defenders. Increasing mobility is the first step in extending your playing career by lowering exposure to injury.
Motivation
Offensive line is a way of life; it’s more than a position on the football field. There will be challenges that come up requiring you to dig deeper than you ever have before. O-Line Performance understands the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual demands placed upon you, because we live it.
